It's about more than just winning.

The first-ever African cycling team to gain a UCI World Tour licence, Team Qhubeka ASSOS is a purpose-led, high-performance team, fighting for victory on the world's biggest stages, to inspire hope and create opportunity. Multicultural and diverse, with bases in South Africa, the Netherlands and Italy, the team represents 19 nationalities across their World Tour and continental feeder team rosters.

For 2021, Team Qhubeka ASSOS are racing under a new title sponsor, in all new team colours and with an updated roster of riders. Aboard our stable of high-performance bikes; Teammachine SLR01, Timemachine Road 01 and Timemachine TT bike; they enter the season aiming to shape cycling for the better – both technologically and philanthropically. So, while the team targets the world’s most prestigious one-day Classics and Grand Tours, the scope of the team’s impact is spread much further afield.

It is the team's relationship with the Qhubeka charity that allows them to stand out amongst their peers. Through their work they have contributed to the distribution of over 30 000 bicycles to school-going children in South African communities and given more than 55 riders from the African continent the opportunity to race at the world’s highest level. Results are one element but mobilizing for something greater than just racing resonates with everyone at BMC as we all truly believe: #BicyclesChangeLives.
