Rider profile

BMC Racing Team added another Australian to its ranks in 2017 with Miles Scotson stepping up to the UCI WorldTour peloton and immediately making an impact at the Australian National Road Cycling Championships, his first road race with the team.

Having already conquered the Australian U23 Road Race and Time Trial Championships, Scotson secured the green and gold jersey for his first season as a professional and became BMC Racing Team's first Australian National Road Race champion.

Scotson made the transition from track racing to road racing in 2016 and spent the second half of 2016 as a stagiaire with Wanty-Groupe Gobert before attracting the attention of BMC Racing Team.

Scotson has previously proved he has speed against the clock and claimed the bronze medal at the U23 UCI World Time Trial Championships in 2016. With an individual time trial win at the 2016 Olympia’s Tour and 5th at Duo Normand.
