Following Forster’s win at the European Championships and Carod’s victory at the French Championships, the BMC MTB Racing Team is delighted to announce the renewal of their sponsorship contract with BMC Switzerland until 2020.
Founded in 2010, the BMC MTB Racing Team has secured another two-year contract with BMC Switzerland allowing Alex Moos, Founder and Sports Director, and David Chassot, Manager, to look further and make plans for the next two and a half years. “As a racer first and as a sports director now I’ve always had a special connection to BMC Switzerland” said Moos. “I am very happy to keep working with such an innovative and inspiring company. Racing is obviously our first priority but we also like to collaborate with the engineers and product team to develop new bikes and technologies.”
Talking about goals, Moos added: “I have the privilege to be leading a team that won everything already; well almost everything… The only thing we miss is an Olympic medal and that’s definitely what we’ll be working on in the next two years. In the meantime, we will also be aiming at individual World Cup podiums in XCC and XCO.”
Titouan Carod, wager of youth
To help achieving these goals, the BMC MTB Racing Team can already count on French Champion Titouan Carod who renewed his contract for another two seasons. 24-year old Carod has been racing for the Team since 2017 and his first season in the Elite ranks. Since then, the young rider made a name for himself finishing 6th of the last year’s overall classification of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, standing on a World Cup podium in Mont-Sainte-Anne and winning a few international races including rounds of the Proffix Swiss Bike Cup and French Cup as well as the French National Championships at the end of July.
“Titouan Carod is a very promising rider” Moos added. “His excellent first Elite season is a sign of talent. He has a huge potential on the physical but also on the psychological perspectives. He’s still very young and needs to gain experience which will help him in the lead to big events and to become a consistent rider.”
For Carod, continuing the adventure with the BMC MTB Racing Team was an obvious decision. “I didn’t think twice when I was offered to stay. I feel great in the team, both material and staff is on point and I feel I get the best support possible to achieve my goals.”
Based in Switzerland, the BMC MTB Racing Team has always been giving pride of place to Swiss talents and the future will be no exception. Names will be announced in the following weeks.
