BMC Development Team will line up for the final race of 2017 this weekend as a motivated and confident roster heads to Paris-Tours U23 on Sunday (8 October)

Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck thinks BMC Development Team is heading to the one-day race with a wealth of talent.

“We are once again taking a strong team to Paris-Tours U23. This will be both our final race of the year and the final race for BMC Development Team as a whole so, we are going in with a lot of motivation to end on a high note. I think every rider has the ability to go for the win on Sunday and we will have multiple cards to play over the course of the race. We know that riders like Reto Müller, Patrick Müller, and Mario Spengler are able to take opportunities and go with the right moves plus Jasper Philipsen is very strong in a bunch sprint so, I think we can go in with a lot of confidence,” Lodewyck said.

Philipsen is motivated ahead of the final race of 2017.

“I’m looking forward to Paris-Tours U23, and I want to give it my all one more time this year. It's been a long season, but I am still motivated to try to produce a good result in my final race with the team. It is going to be a special race. This race often comes down to a bunch sprint, but I raced a Kermesse race earlier this week, and my shape felt good, so I hope that form continues for Sunday,” Philipsen explained.
