Martin Fanger on the podium at Roc d'Azur12. October 2015 — MTB Team
Fanger ends season on a high to take third place at the season blow-out, the Roc d'Azur in Fréjus, France
More than just a race, the Elite Cross-country competition at Roc d'Azur is a true festival of mountain biking that concludes the international mountain biking season with a week-long festival. After his second place in the Marathon Series in Ornans, France a week ago, Martin Fanger won the sprint for third place at the legendary event. Happy with his result, the Swiss rider explained: "I had a good start and kept up with the leading group in the first climb. I lost a bit of time in the following descent but managed to come back to the head of the race in the second long climb of the day. After that, things got a bit complicated for me, unfortunately I paid the price of the last few days when I was feeling a bit ill. But it feels great to end the season with such a result!"
