Ludo May and KC Deane on BMC bikes in 201725. January 2017, Grenchen, Switzerland — Melanie Leveau — BMC Ride Crew
A new year, a new season and new strategy for BMC Switzerland when it comes to supporting passionate riders. After four seasons dedicated to racing Enduro at the highest level and validating the Trailfox on the fastest and roughest terrains, BMC Switzerland has decided to adopt a more relaxed approach by moving away from sponsoring race-orientated athletes and towards supporting two riders with big personalities for 2017. The Swiss rider Ludo May and American skier slash mountain biker, KC Deane.
A native of Verbier, Ludo May has been unsettling the dust on the well-ridden berms of the international mountain biking scene with his slapstick humor, cheeky video edits and efficient riding style. Sitting left of pure racing, Ludo is as creative as he is a talented rider and always has projects up his sleeve including more episodes of his “Ludo et son vélo” series, trips and a few races including Trans Costa Rica next month, the Trans Provence, the Megavalanche and a few EWS events. “I’m really happy and excited to start a new relationship with BMC, a Swiss brand with such a strong international reputation. As a Swiss person, it gives me an extra boost of motivation and I look forward to collaborating closely with BMC on common projects.”
Ask KC Deane to choose between dirt or snow and he would probably freeze with indecision. The Idaho native, now living in Whistler, can’t decide whether he prefers mountain biking to skiing, and for some years now he hasn’t had to. According to Pinkbike’s Geoff Gulevich “KC Deane isn't just another cyclist to follow on Instagram. KC is one of, if not, the hardest working athlete in action sports... Having a natural eye for photography and a vision for "the shot," I have witnessed him choose angles for photographers that they may not have seen” This year again, he’ll be riding around the world and bring us some amazing stories and pictures aboard his two new BMC mountain bikes, the Trailfox and Speedfox.
Kerstin Kögler continues Collaboration with BMC
Riding BMC bikes since 2014, German rider Kerstin Kögler remains one of BMC’s brand ambassadors and will continue her favorite activity; encouraging people to get on bikes and helping them develop their riding skills. Just back from a trip in Sri Lanka where she gave riding skills lessons for the National Federation, she’s already filling her 2017 calendar with numerous courses, rides at festivals, trips and BMC events.
