Forster ruled out of Albstadt World Cup by injury23. May 2017 — Melanie Leveau — MTB Team
Lars Forster is forced to miss out the second round of the World Cup this coming weekend, due to a wrist injury sustained in a crash at the start of the Nove Mesto race last Sunday.
An X-ray exam yesterday, revealed a crack that will keep him off the race circuit for a few weeks. It’s obviously very disappointing news for him and the BMC MTB Racing Team. “Lars was in great shape – he won two races this year already – and he was super motivated for the start of the World Cup season” Alex Moos said. “He achieved the fourth best lap time of the only lap he completed in Nove Mesto despite some mechanical problems with his bike. It shows how strong he is right now.”
Forster will keep training on the road and slowly get back to his mountain bike to be ready for the third round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Vallnord, Andorra on the first weekend of July.
