Broken Elbow puts Lewis Buchanan Out of Action29. April 2016, Grenchen, Switzerland — Melanie Leveau — Enduro Team
Due to a broken elbow sustained while training, Lewis Buchanan won’t be able to take part to the third round of the EWS in Ireland next weekend and the Tweedlove International Festival in his hometown in two weeks.
The Scottish rider was training at home for two of his main objectives of the season when he crashed heavily and broke his elbow. He is undergoing surgery today to have the elbow plated and wired up. According to the first diagnosis, Buchanan will be out of competition for six weeks meaning he’ll be missing the third round of the Enduro World Series and the Tweedlove International Festival taking place just down the road from where he lives.
The young rider, currently sitting in 9th place in the EWS series in his first ever Enduro season, seems upbeat and positive and can’t wait to be back on his bike. No doubt he’ll be even more eager than before.
