BMC Racing Team Returns to Belgium for GP Pino Cerami18. July 2017, Santa Rosa, California (USA) — Road Team
Away from the action in France, eight BMC Racing Team riders will be looking for success in Belgium on Wednesday (19 July) when they head to the start line at GP Pino Cerami.
Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck thinks that BMC Racing Team can be competitive at the one-day race.
“For many of the riders, this is one of the few opportunities to race in July and it marks the start of the final part of the season so, I think everyone will be extremely motivated. We will definitely be going there with the ambition of winning the race and I think Jempy Drucker can be up there at the finish. He was looking strong at the ŜkodaTour de Luxembourg, and this race is made for a fast finisher. We will have a pretty young team but I think everyone is strong and we can definitely go into the race with a lot of confidence,” Lodewyck said.
Jempy Drucker is looking forward to getting back into the swing of racing.
“This will be my first race after a short break, and I am looking forward to getting the final part of the season underway. I am not completely sure how my legs will respond but I have been feeling good during training so, if there is an opportunity to go for the win, I will definitely try to take it,” Drucker explained.
