BMC Development Team Set for Grand Prix de la Ville de Pérenchies21. July 2017, Santa Rosa, California (USA) — Development Team
BMC Development Team will be looking for opportunities in France this weekend when a well-rounded six-rider team heads to the start line at Grand Prix de la Ville de Pérenchies (July 23).
Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck is confident that BMC Development Team can continue its run of success at the French one-day race.
“We have another strong team with an incredible depth of talent. We have riders who can go all the way in a breakaway, who are really strong finishers and also two fast sprinters. We are going there looking to give 100% and to try and take the win. We have enjoyed an incredible season so far so, it would be great to add another victory to this. I am confident that we have a team that can produce a strong result especially with Tanguy Turgis coming out of his victory at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad U23. I think he could do something in the finish and he will certainly be one of our leaders,” Lodewyck said.
Tanguy Turgis is looking forward to being back in the peloton after his overall victory at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad U23.
“Grand Prix de la Ville de Pérenchies is a good race with lots of cobbles and I think we can make a good result as a team. For me, it is a great way to prepare for the French National U23 Championships next week. I want to enjoy this race with the team because I like this style of racing especially with the cobbled sectors,” Turgis explained.
