BMC Development Team Ready for Paris - Roubaix U23 Battle25. May 2017, Santa Rosa, California (USA) — Development Team
This weekend, the classic cobbles and the iconic velodrome await with BMC Development Team heading to the start line of Paris - Roubaix U23 on Sunday, May 28.
Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck said that BMC Development Team is heading to France with a talented six-rider roster.
“I think we have a really strong team for this race and we will be looking to ride aggressively, stay out of trouble, and stick to our plan. This will be a particularly special race for us as it will be the last time that Nathan Van Hooydonck will line up with the team before stepping up to the UCI WorldTour ranks. He is riding strong right now so I hope that we can send him off with a good result. But, we have multiple options with six strong riders, and I think everyone has the ability to win.”
For Nathan Van Hooydonck, Paris - Roubaix U23 will be his final race before making the step up to BMC Racing Team.
“I’ve never looked forward to a race more than I do for this year's Paris - Roubaix U23. This one is going to be a special one. We are lining up with a team as I’ve never seen before. We are all so strong, and we are willing to do anything for one another. Also, as it will be my last race with BMC Development Team, it will be even more special. We are all extremely motivated, and I think we only be happy if we go home with the victory,” Van Hooydonck explained.
