BMC Development Team will be looking to make an impact in Italy this weekend with a motivated team heading to the start line at Piccolo Giro di Lombardia on Sunday, 1 October.

Sports Director Jens Blatter thinks BMC Development Team is lining up with a strong team with multiple cards to play.

“This will be one of our final races so we will be going to Italy with a lot of motivation and we will be there to give it our best shot to try and secure a good result, which for us will be to finish on the podium. It’s a hard parcours, especially at the end with a lot of short but steep climbs and the weather often plays an important role in this race. We are lining up with a strong team, and we will have various options depending on how the race evolves, but I think this will be a race for riders like Steff Cras, Patrick Müller, and Marc Hirschi,” Blatter said.

Cras is looking forward to heading back to the start line in Italy. “I am feeling really good right now, and I am motivated to produce a good result for the team. After Tour de l’Avenir, I kept up with my training and put in a really good block of work. I have also raced a few kermesse races in Belgium, so my shape is still really good. I have prepared well for this race, and I think I am 100% ready to race for a good result. I am feeling confident heading to Italy, and I liked to race here, so I think it will be a lot of fun and it is a good way to end the season,” Cras explained.
