Back to Back Races in Switzerland for BMC Development Team17. May 2017, Santa Rosa, California (USA) — Development Team
BMC Development Team is heading to Switzerland this weekend with a motivated eight-rider roster lining up at Bernerrundfahrt (May 20) and Cham - Hagendorn (May 21).
Sports Director Jens Blatter said that the team is looking forward to racing in the home of title sponsor, BMC Switzerland.
“It’s always special for us to come back to Switzerland and it gives us some extra energy and motivation. Both races present their challenges with a lot of climbing and a strong start list, but we have consistently shown this season that we can stand tall against the bigger teams. We will look to ride offensively with every rider getting the chance to look for the right move and race for the win if the opportunity presents itself.”
Swiss rider Patrick Müller has a wealth of experience from both races.
“I'm feeling good right now. I am well prepared for those two races and having a race weekend at home will be nice. I've been doing those two races for many years now in all different categories starting at the age of eleven. This means that I know the parcours very well and I have already made a lot of memories racing on these roads. I'm really keen to show my teammates what these races are like and to go for a good result. We are going to have a strong team lining up, and this is giving everyone a lot of confidence,” Müller explained.
