All-round capabilities, eco credentials and enjoying a green city get Arne’s vote.
Ask Arne, and he’ll tell you it’s inexcusable not to ride a bike when you live in the city with the biggest green belt in Europe. That’s Hamburg, if you were wondering. Arne had grown tired of the ‘diesel debate’ and Germany’s dominant car industry. The eco-conscious architect known for his sustainable and stylish residential properties scoured the market for a do-all bike. “That’s when I landed on the Alpenchallenge,” he explains.

“It really struck a chord, I can’t fault its versatility and, of course, that design just screamed at me. I hop on it and in no time at all I’m with a client or on-site. Those moments on the bike are priceless for my mind as well, as it gives me clarity on projects. I’d say that the perspective that I get of buildings and cityscapes on two wheels has really helped my work too.”
