During a race, BMC riders activate Autodrop up to a hundred times allowing them to focus entirely on the track.

The peerless technology eliminates the need to squat to lower the saddle with it’s intuitive two-position adjustment, allowing riders to pedal longer before hitting a downhill section.

The result? More speed, improved lap times and less fatigue for a race-defining split-second advantage.




Functionality

Mechanical operation
Autodrop is a mechanically operated dropper seatpost enabled by the air tank housed in the downtube.

No batteries required
The dropper seat post is actuated by a cable, while the Autodrop function is powered by pressurized air contained in the downtube air tank.

Pump it up!
The air tank can be filled using a regular track pump. 14 bars allow for around 100 activations of the Autodrop system.

No range anxiety!
Enough to win a World Cup event or day-long trail rides: when the air tank is empty, Autodrop still works like a regular dropper seatpost allowing your body weight to drop.

Intuitive
Use it like a regular post; no learning curve is required.

Smart and Sleek



Autodrop moves the clamping system and the associated loads to the bottom of the seat tube, allowing our engineers to design a lighter seat tube that forgoes a traditional seat post clamp to eliminate the negative effects of clamping on dropper post functionality.

The elliptic shape ensures the saddle is always perfectly aligned.

The seat clamp is replaced by a simple dust wiper for improved durability and a clean look.

Strong and Light

Conventional dropper posts use round elements to be compatible with every frame on the market, leading to performance compromises and excessive weight.

Autodrop was developed with the vision of creating the lightest and strongest XC dropper post without having external compatibility dictating the boundaries of shape, size, and material choice.

Extended research on stress resistance and weight reduction for seat post application highlight the superior properties of an elliptic shape. This was the reason to develop the Autodrop seat post and seat tube interface.
