Storer shows class in second stage Giro d'Italia with sixth place

Michael Storer delivered Tudor Pro Cycling's first top 10 in a Grand Tour stage. The Australian youngster climbed to an impressive sixth place in the second stage of the Giro.

Battling it out against riders like Tadej Pogacar, Geraint Thomas, and Daniel Martínez, all considered favorites for the final podium in Rome in three weeks, Storer managed well to hold on during the 12-kilometer-long final climb. He then sprinted to sixth place in a small chasing group.

Tudor Pro Cycling started their first Grand Tour with ambitions to secure a stage win. After Maikel Zijlaard's victory in the Tour de Romandie, a stage victory in a Grand Tour would mark another massive success.

Storer is after two days of racing in 12th place in the Giro d'Italia general classification. The following stages are predominantly flat. Tudor will be looking to support sprinter Alberto Dainese in achieving stage results.
