World Cup #2: Absalon second in sprint with Schurter, Forster 5th

May 23, 2016 – Although Julien Absalon didn’t make a repeat of the last two gold medal successes in the 2014 and 2015 UCI MTB World Cup presented by Shimano in Albstadt, Germany the European Champion found plenty of reasons to be happy with his race over the weekend. Lars Forster proves that his sixth place in Cairns wasn’t a one-off stroke of luck by taking 5th place.

The BMC MTB Racing team is the leading team on the UCI XCO World Cup circuit. Founded in 2010 by Alex Moos, in 2014 the team claimed the UCI XCO World
Championship title with Julien Absalon (FRA) and in 2015 and for the third year in a row, the team was the most successful team in the UCI World Cup Series. 9 National Championship titles, 3 World Cup golds, 2 silvers and 4 European XCO titles. What will the Olympic year bring? Its mix of experienced riders and young, talented athletes is the perfect recipe for another world title. 2015 teamelite TE01

Power up the climbs, effortlessly carve down tricky descents. Then sprint to the finish line. This is what cross-country racing is all about. Riding hard and riding fast. The BMC teamelite is the one full carbon, hardtail mountain bike that combines feathery weight, vertical compliance and surgical handling. The big wheels are efficient going uphill, providing remarkable traction and momentum, while our BWC geometry enhances cornering and our proven TCC carbon technology smooths out the rough stuff. It's a simple formula: Confidence + Efficiency = Faster riding. BMC's teamelite TE01 cross country racing bike is testament to our engineers ingenuity, and our racing Team's input.

2015 fourstroke FS01

The BMC fourstroke is one of the very few full suspension 29er mountain bikes successfully used on the WorldCup level. This fact alone sets it apart as an outstanding race bike. But then the fourstroke was always meant to be much more than that. The 29er wheels in conjunction with our BWC geometry, APS suspension and high overall stiffness inspire so much confidence that the BMC fourstroke is also an incredibly fast and capable trail bike.

If there is just one category the fourstroke FS01 fully belongs to, this is quite simply mountain biking.
