Announcing the BMC Trailcrew Experience - Hurricane, UT. The first of its kind for BMC in North America, this event takes place from October 27-29, 2017 and offers BMC mountain bike owners and fans an opportunity to come together and experience world class trails, first-class hospitality, and the latest mountain bikes from BMC Switzerland.

Hurricane, UT resides at the gateway to one of North America’s most iconic landscapes; Zion National Park. Despite being off the beaten path, this mountain biking mecca is home to the world-famous Gooseberry Mesa, Little Creek Mesa, and Guacamole Mesa. Characterized by technical singletrack, endless slickrock features, and breathtaking views, the mesas surrounding Hurricane…the mesas surrounding Hurricane each take on their own personality as they offer riders of all abilities a veritable playground of unique terrain and experiences. each take on their own personality as they offer riders of all abilities a veritable playground of unique terrain and experiences from massive rock rollers on Gooseberry to twisty high-speed pursuits on the JEM trail.

Regardless of where you ride in Hurricane, expect to be challenged. An elevation of over 5000’ combined with deceivingly technical riding means you’ll need to bring your “A’ game to this trip. To help, we’re supplying each guest with a 2018 BMC Trailfox, Speedfox, or Trailcrew. So review the terrain and gear up to tackle it with your weapon of choice.

Itinerary:

Day 1 // Friday, October 27th

Friday is your first day on the ground in Hurricane, and we’re here to do one thing: ride. After an easy check-in, BMC staff and For the rest of the afternoon we’ll be tackling swooping singletrack and slickrock rollers as we make our way to one of the best vistas the mesa has to offer.ride guides will help you dial in your bike for the weekend and get ready to ride. From here it’s off to tackle one of the best slickrock rides in the world: Gooseberry Mesa. After we’ve had our fill of riding, we’ll chase the sun back into town and round the day out with ice cold beers, ridiculously good BBQ, and plenty of stories from the day.

Day 2 // Saturday, October 28th

Ready for a full day of riding? After a hearty home-cooked breakfast, we’ll be ready to tackle Guacamole Mesa. Overlooking Virgin River, this mesa is a stone’s throw from Zion After conquering Guacamole Mesa, we’ll head back into town to round out our day with good food, great beers, and a celebration of an awesome trip.National Park. A mix of undulating slick-rock and ribbons of dirt singletrack, the “Guac” has riders meanders through forests of pinion and juniper as they seek out rock cairns marking the trail. After spending the morning clicking off miles, we’ll have a trailside feast provided by Chasing Epic before heading back in for more. After conquering Guacamole Mesa, we’ll head back into town to round out our day with good food, great beers, and a celebration of an awesome trip.

Day 3 // Sunday, October 29th

Let’s go out with a bang! An early start this morning sees us well fed and en route to Little Creek Mesa by 8:30am. As the saying goes: “If Gooseberry is the roller coaster, Little Creek is the whole amusement park!” Blasting in and out of tightly wooded areas, the trail zigs and zags over small outcrops of technical rock features. Inevitably, riders will emerge onto the rim earning a majestic view of the valley far below. After getting our fill of amazing trails, new friends, and awesome bikes, our final excursion will be finished by 3:00pm; allowing plenty of time for riders to catch an afternoon or evening flight out of St. George or Las Vegas.

Note: An Exact ride itinerary will be sent out to registered guests one week prior to event. The daily itinerary may be adjusted due to your selected ride group and day-of conditions.


Travel Info:

Getting to Hurricane, UT is surprisingly easy. Nearby St. George, UT offers a small regional airport that’s a quick drive from Hurricane. For those landing in St. George, we will offer a complimentary shuttle from and to the airport. Alternatively, Las Vegas is only two hours away by car and easily reachable from every major city in North America.
