Samuel Sánchez was the BMC Racing Team's best finisher, in 17th place, on Sunday's mountain-top finish at the Vuelta a España.

Tom Dumoulin (Team Giant-Alpecin) won the 168.3-kilometer race to take the overall lead. Sánchez arrived 74 seconds later and remained in 16th place overall, 4:04 back.
