Van Hooydonck crowned Belgian National ITT Champion (U23)

1. May 2016, Borlo (BEL) — Development Team

Nathan Van Hooydonck wins Belgian National ITT Championships in Borlo.

BMC Development Team’s Nathan Van Hooydonck was crowned national champion at today’s Belgian National ITT Championships in Borlo.

Van Hooydonck said that he wasn’t expecting to win today and that he is extremely proud to wear the black, yellow and red jersey.

“I feel super happy! After breaking my collarbone at the Tour de Flanders 3 weeks ago I didn’t have any expectations coming into today’s race.”

“It was a very tough course. The roads were hilly and there was a strong wind in the open fields of Limburg so to win with a time difference of 43 seconds is incredible, especially over a 29 kilometer course.”

“As I am also the national road race champion, I can now wear the Belgian colors in every race I compete in and that makes the circle complete! I feel really proud.”
