Swiss national time trial champion Fabian Cancellara (Trek Factory Racing) won the 10-kilometer race against the clock by four seconds from Adriano Malori (Movistar Team). Van Avermaet, who won a stage of the race last Friday, was 27 seconds off the winning mark.

Caruso, in 14th place, was the BMC Racing Team's best-placed rider in the final overall standings as Nairo Quintana (Movistar Team) took the victory ahead of Bauke Mollema (Trek Factory Racing).
