BMC Racing Team's Damiano Caruso scored his second top 10 finish of the season Wednesday with sixth place at the Tour de Romandie.

Caruso and teammates Rohan Dennis and Darwin Atapuma were part of a group of 49 riders that stayed away to the finish after topping the last of four categorized climbs in the 168.1-kilometer race.

Michael Albasini (ORICA-GreenEDGE) took the win and unseated overall leader Geraint Thomas (Team Sky).
