Ronde van Vlaanderen: On the Start Line with Jempy Drucker

5. April 2017, Oudenaarde (BEL) — Road Team

This week we're taking a look at some of our favorite images from Ronde van Vlaanderen and telling the story behind the shot. We continue with Jempy Drucker at the start line in Antwerp...

(c) Karen M. Edwards

“When you are sitting there waiting on the start line it is the last ‘quiet’ moment before going on the road. So, I always try to put myself a bit into that race mood, be ready to take everything out of my body, put the focus on and be ready to rumble for the next five to six hours.”

“It’s like getting in the zone and entering the tunnel, especially for a race like the Tour of Flanders which is one of the most important and nicest races of the whole season.”

- Jempy Drucker
