Paris-Nice, Stage 1: Dennis Stays Second

A relatively uneventful opening road stage at Paris-Nice Monday ended in a bunch sprint that saw BMC Racing Team's Silvan Dillier finish 12th and teammate Rohan Dennis pictured) remain in second place overall. (©Tim De Waele/TDWsport)

Alexander Kristoff (Katusha Team) won the stage ahead of Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis, Solutions Credits) and Bryan Coquard (Team Europcar). Dennis, who was 0.31 seconds behind world road champion Michal Kwiatkowski (Etixx-Quick Step) in Sunday's prologue, finished in the peloton as the top of the overall standings remained unchanged.
