BMC Racing Team's Philippe Gilbert finished seventh and Greg Van Avermaet was 10th in Friday's edition of Grand Prix Cycliste De Québec.

The BMC Racing Team chased down several late breakaways but could not reel in race winner Rigoberto Uran (Etixx-Quick Step), who attacked a little more than a kilometer from the end of the 201.6-kilometer race. Michael Matthews (ORICA-GreenEDGE) was runner-up and Alexander Kristoff (Katusha Team) was third.

Sunday, in Montreal, is the other WorldTour race of the GP Cycliste series in Canada.
