BMC Development Team returns to one-day racing in Belgium this weekend with a motivated line-up for Flèche Ardennaise on Sunday, May 7.

Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck said that he is confident in the abilities of all seven riders.

“We have a strong team for this race, and while we don’t have any specialists at racing in the Ardennes, I think everyone can do well here. We have some of our riders from Tour de Bretagne who have recovered well after a tough week and then some added horsepower with Callum Scotson and Nathan Van Hooydonck. Nathan is just coming back from a knee injury, so it will be interesting to see how he goes but, as always, he is motivated to show what he is capable of.”

"We will, of course, be lining up ready to do our best and ride aggressively but, for a lot of these riders, the next big goal will be Paris-Roubaix U23. This race will therefore also be part of our preparation for that.”

Nathan Van Hooydonck is looking forward to getting back in the peloton.

“I’m looking forward to racing again with the team. I have had a relatively long time off the bike, as I recovered from my injury, but I am feeling good now. I am not in my top shape just yet but it will be good to get started again, and I want to try and make the best result possible for myself and also for the team,” Van Hooydonck explained.
