Dutch Challenge Awaits BMC Development Team2. September 2016, Santa Rosa, California (USA) — Development Team
BMC Development Team will be looking for repeat success when a strong eight-rider team lines up at the Dutch one-day race Kernen Omloop Echt - Susteren this Sunday, 4 September.
Sports Director Jens Blatter said that the team is heading into the race with a lot of motivation.
“This is a completely different race to last week at GP La Magne. It is a flat parcours with a lot of corners and with teams of eight it will be easier for this race to be kept under control. We are going into this race with a strong team and multiple options for success. We will look to ride an offensive and they whole squad are looking in good shape with many making their final preparation for the European Championships in two weeks” Blatter said.
Pascal Eenkhoorn is looking forward to racing in home soil after victory in Belgium last week.
“We have a really strong team going to this race. It is a long race and will be first time racing over 200km for me but last week’s victory has definitely given me a lot of confidence. With eight riders on a team I think this race will be easier for teams to control and could potentially end in a bunch as per the last three years. It is alway a lot of fun with BMC Development Team and that helps a lot going into races as the motivation is automatically really high. For me, the European Championships is my main target but I will give it my best here to produce a good result here,” Eenkhoorn commented.
