De Panne Stage 1: Küng Seventh

31. March 2015 — Road Team

Stage winner Alexander Kristoff (Katusha Team) was part of a group of four that bridged to the two riders remaining from the day's breakaway inside the last 25 kilometers of the 201.6-km race. Küng  – who won the world individual pursuit title in February – made his move with two kilometers to go. He finished two seconds ahead of the charging peloton, which arrived 34 seconds after Kristoff.
