BMC Development Team will be looking to make it third time lucky in Belgium when they head to Brussel - Zepperen on Sunday, 26 February.

Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck said that the six-rider roster will be looking to race aggressively at the one-day race.

“We aren’t heading into the race with a particular leader, but once again we want to look out for early moves and protect our riders that make a breakaway. We have multiple cards to play, and if it comes down to a bunch sprint, we will look to Bram Welten to be our primary finisher. His sprint is looking super strong already this season.”

“I think we have another strong and motivated group of riders and I am looking forward to seeing how our newest riders perform in their first proper race with the team.”

Reto Müller, who won bronze at the UCI World Junior Road Race Championships last year, will make his debut for BMC Development Team.

“After a good block of winter training, I am really looking forward to starting my 2017 season. I feel like my shape is coming along well and I can’t wait to represent BMC Development Team and race with the guys for the first time,” explained Müller.
