A competitive six-rider roster will line up at BMC Development Team’s first stage race of the year next week, Tour of Normandy.

Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck said that the BMC Development Team will be targeting both stage wins and the overall General Classification in Normandy.

“We will line up at Tour of Normandy with a very confident and motivated team who have all shown consistently strong early season form. I think we will have multiple options to go for stage wins over the seven days with Bram Welten as our primary finishers for sprint stages. Nathan Van Hooydonck will be our main leader for the General Classification, and we will have a strong team to support him with every rider capable of winning in their own right.”

Nathan Van Hooydonck is excited about getting into the swing of stage racing one again.

“I am really looking forward to lining up in Normandy with the team. This is the first UCI stage race of the year, and we have a super strong team heading into the first stage. With this group of riders, we have lots of options to go for stage wins, and I am confident that we can work well together. This is a race that suits me, so I hope to be able to take the right opportunities and potentially go for the overall General Classification as well,” Van Hooydonck explained.
