BMC Development Team Motivated Ahead of Tour de Bretagne22. April 2017, Santa Rosa, California (USA) — Development Team
Stage racing continues for BMC Development Team in France next week when a mix of new and experienced riders lines up at Tour de Bretagne (April 25 - May 1).
Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck said that BMC Development Team will be taking the race day-by-day.
“We are taking a good mix of riders to Tour de Bretagne, and we will have multiple cards to play. Sprinters Bram Welten and Pierre Barbier are part of our line-up, but I think it will be a hard job to control the race so, we will have everyone looking for opportunities."
"We might have a young team racing, but everyone has been looking in good shape. Plus we will have the extra motivation of lining up with two French riders."
Tanguy Turgis and Pierre Barbier are looking forward to racing on home soil.
“This is a very hard race with seven tough stages including stage 2 which is over 200km. While we are a young team, we have six strong riders, and I think that we have a good chance of producing some good results over the week. I am really happy to be racing in France particularly in this region as the people love cycling and normally there are lots of people out on the roads to watch the race,” Turgis added.
“This will be the first time that I will race at Tour de Bretagne, and I am looking forward to getting started. It is a long and difficult race but I think we will have a good week with the riders lining up and I am happy to be a part of the team. Of course, racing in France always gives me some added motivation, and we will do our best to achieve the best result possible,” Barbier explained.
