BMC Development Team is looking to continue its run of podium finishes in France this week when a competitive six-rider roster lines up at Ronde de l’Isard on Thursday, May 18.

Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck said that he is confident in the strength of the BMC Development Team line-up.

“We have a really strong group of riders for this race, many of whom will be looking ahead to the Giro d'Italia Under 23 next month. The guys did a great job at Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour, particularly Pascal Eenkhoorn, and that will set them up well for this race. Plus, we have Pavel Sivakov, who is a local rider, on our roster and he is super motivated to be racing here. I think everyone has the ability to do well here so we will be taking the race day by day and we are confident that we can produce some good results.”

After finishing second on the General Classification at Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour, Pascal Eenkhoorn is motivated heading into the four-day stage race.

“I’m really looking forward to racing here. It looks like a hard course, but I want to see how I will do on the longer climbs. We are starting with a strong team, and we have seen that everybody is in great shape at our last few stage races. Both myself and the team are motivated to be here, and hopefully it's going to be a successful race”, Eenkhoorn explained.

Pavel Sivakov is looking forward to racing on home roads at Ronde de l’Isard.

“For me, this is a local race. This is where I live and train, so I hope to be able to produce some good results as it's a really special to be able to race on your training roads. Pascal Eenkhoorn, Steff Cras, and Tanguy Turgis have spent a few days training with me so we could do a recon of some of the stages. It will definitely be a very hard race and a battle every day as the course is never easy, but we have a strong team. I think it will be a good week for us,” Sivakov added.
