BMC Development Team heads back to the start line in Belgium on Sunday (May 14) with a seven-rider roster ready to race aggressively at the one-day race, Grand Prix Criquieilon.

Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck said that BMC Development Team is lining up with a lot of confidence after the team’s success over the first part of the season.

“We have enjoyed a lot of nice results over the last few months. This has created a positive morale within the team and given everyone the confidence needed to continue to challenge for results.”

“I think we have a strong squad for Grand Prix Criquieilon which includes the experience of Nathan Van Hooydonck, who returned to racing at a high-level last week, and Bram Welten, who has recovered well after Tour de Bretagne. I think we can expect both riders to be up there in the final but as always everyone has the potential to do something special. The level will be high on Sunday, but as we have been doing, we will look to ride aggressively and see how the race unfolds from there.”

Bram Welten is looking forward to heading back to the start line in Belgium.

“I am really looking forward to this weekend, and I always enjoy racing in Belgium. After Tour de Bretagne, I had a couple of days off the bike to recover and prepare myself for the rest of the season. Now, I have done a lot of good quality training, and I think I can race for a good result at Grand Prix Criquieilon. I feel really good right now, so let’s see what the race brings,” Welten explained.
