BMC Development Team will head to the start line in Belgium once again when they line-up at the one-day race, Brussel - Opwijk on Sunday, 26 February.

Sports Director Klaas Lodewyck said that every rider on BMC Development Team’s seven-rider roster will have the opportunity to go for the win.

“We are taking another strong team to this race, and for me, this is the real start of our season. We aren't going to Belgium with a particular leader as I think everyone is capable of winning. For me, the strength and depth of our team will be our advantage on Sunday. Everyone will have the chance to prove themselves and take opportunities, and we will also have Bram Welten should it come down to a bunch sprint."

After victory at Ingelmunster last weekend, Nathan Van Hooydonck is confident in his early season form heading into the race.

“I was really happy with my win last weekend but now the season can really start, and for me, there are much bigger goals to come. I'm feeling good, and I've worked hard over the off-season to start this year in the best condition possible."

"This will be our first outing on the cobbles, and the short, steep climbs of the Ardennes in 2017 so Bram Welten and I have been out to do a recon of the course. We have a strong team lining up here so we will give it our best to go for the win."

Brussel - Opwijk (26 February)

Rider roster: Sam Dobbs (NZL), Pascal Eenkhoorn (NED), Patrick Müller (SUI), Jasper Philipsen (BEL), Pavel Sivakov (RUS), Nathan Van Hooydonck (BEL), Bram Welten (NED)

Sports Director: Klass Lodewyck (BEL)
