Rider profile

Daniel Oss is one of BMC Racing Team’s biggest powerhouses so it’s a common occurrence to see Oss gritting his teeth at the front of the peloton working for his teammates. The Italian, famous for his trademark rock’n’roll image and crazy hair, lines up for his fifth season with BMC Racing Team in 2017.

Two of Oss’ biggest strengths lie in time trialing and cobbles. Oss played an instrumental role in BMC Racing Team’s UCI World Team Time Trial Championships in 2014 and 2015, as well as the Team Time Trial victory at the 2015 Tour de France and again at the 2016 Tirreno-Adriatico Team Time Trial which saw him take the leader’s blue jersey into the second stage.

On the cobbles, where strength is key, Oss is at home and is often right up there in the finale helping Greg Van Avermaet to victory. Oss has proven that he can mix with the best on the cobbles and in 2016 recorded a string of top 20 finishes at the early-season Classics.
