Rider profile

Brent Bookwalter will be lining up for his tenth season with the BMC Racing Team ‘family’ in 2017 and the decision to stay was something that came naturally to him as he sees his ongoing growth and development aligned with that of the team.

As one of team’s longest-serving riders, Bookwalter brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to every race and as a result he is often called upon to provide invaluable support at Grand Tours. Bookwalter has represented BMC Racing Team at eight Grand Tours since joining the team in 2008 and he was part of the Tour de France team that helped Cadel Evans to victory in 2011.

In 2016 Bookwalter’s best results once again came on home soil with the American rider finishing third in the General Classification at the AMGEN Tour of California following on from 2015 where he finished second and third overall at the USA Pro Challenge and Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah respectively.
