Amaël Moinard joined BMC Racing Team in 2011 where he has established himself as a key domestique at Grand Tours with five Tour de France and two Vuelta a Espana participations, as well as the 2015 edition of the Giro d’Italia where BMC Racing Team won the opening Team Time Trial.

Moinard not only assumes this important support role - bringing his trademark enthusiasm and motivation to every race - but he also maintains a desire to win and he is not afraid of trying his luck when it comes Grand Tours. In 2015 he recorded two individual top ten stage finishes at the Vuelta a Espana and three at the Giro d’Italia.

The French rider has no lack of determination and has time and time again proven he has what it takes to race at the highest level including on Stage 5 of the Aviva Tour of Britain in 2016 when he attacked off the front of the breakaway with less than 5km to go before being just beaten to the line in a thrilling final showdown.
